Extraordinary Meeting of Lytham Town Council. Monday 2nd March 2026

Lytham Town Council is holding an Extraordinary meeting at 10:30am on Monday 2nd March 2026.

The meeting will be held at Lytham Institute, and in common with all meetings of the Council, members of the public are welcome to attend.

The reason for holding this meeting so soon after the full meeting to be held on Wednesday 25th February, is that the necessity to hold a discussion and take the decision to appoint an Internal Auditor was reached on Monday 23rd February.

It is contrary to the rules of open and transparent governance to seek to slip this decision into the agenda for the 25th without the required 72 hours of notice.

Equally important was the assessment that the decision should not be delayed until the end of March meeting.
